What You Need To Know About Aniracetam, Which Is Not Approved in the U.S.?
Aniracetam is a racetam drug which belongs to the family of nootropics (smart drugs). It was first discovered in 2006 when it was isolated from Piracetam, a chemical found naturally in plants and fungi. Since then, research into its potential uses have been conducted.
The most common use of aniracetam is to treat cognitive decline in Alzheimer’s disease patients. However, there are other possible uses such as treating attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), depression, anxiety disorders, Parkinson’s disease and even migraines. There are many different brands of aniracetam available on the market today; however, the only brand approved by the FDA for human consumption is Piracetem.
There are two main types of aniracetam: racemic and racemic mixture. A racemic mixture contains 50% of the active ingredient while a purer form contains 100%. For example, Piracetem is made up of 50% piracetam and 50% amine. The racemate or mixed aniracetam is called Noopept. Both forms contain the same amount of nootropic compounds but they differ in their structure and effects.
Aniracetam is generally used as a capsule or tablet. It’s recommended that the standard dosage for an adult is between 750 and 1500mg per day, which must be taken in divided doses. For treating certain conditions such as anxiety and depression, you will need to take more than one dose throughout the day.
How Aniracetam Can Help Those With Alzheimer’s
One of the most common uses of aniracetam in the United States is to improve or delay the onset of symptoms of patients with Alzheimer’s. A large number of patients with this disease exhibit diminished learning abilities, which means that they may not be able to recognize faces or recall memories. They’re also prone to mood swings and easily confused by simple things such as phones or different types of cars.
Aniracetam helps to reverse these symptoms to a degree, which is why it has become popular among the elderly and those who care for them. It’s not a permanent cure and those with Alzheimer’s should continue taking this drug daily if they want to maintain a good quality of life.
The effects of aniracetam also help to reverse some of the damage caused by traumatic brain injury. It’s believed that the drug helps to regenerate and repair damaged neurons as well as encourage healthy brain activity. This means that it could be used to treat patients with a wide range of degenerative illnesses that affect the brain.
How Aniracetam Can Help Those Who Have ADHD
There is a lot of evidence that suggests aniracetam can be used to help improve the symptoms of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. The drug helps to reverse some of the chemical imbalances that cause a lack of concentration and extreme hyperactivity.
Aniracetam is also known to have a positive effect on memory and learning processes because it encourages new synaptic formation in the brain. This means it can help those with ADHD to slow down and refocus so that they’re able to remember things better.
