What to Eat After Colonoscopy

What to Eat After Colonoscopy?

After a colonoscopy, it is very important to eat something before going out. You might think that eating at home would be best but there are some things you need to keep in mind:

You don’t want too much food or you won’t get full. Eating too fast could cause stomach upset and vomiting. If your appetite returns quickly, then go ahead and have another meal right away.

It’s better to have small meals than large ones. A small meal means you’ll get less calories. For example, if you had two slices of bread with milk, then a smaller snack like that would be ideal because it doesn’t provide enough calories to fill up your body completely.

If you’re not sure what kind of food to eat, ask your doctor or nurse for advice! They will probably recommend something similar to what you’d normally eat at home.

The best thing to do is to try different foods until you find one that satisfies your hunger and makes you feel good.

In general, most people prefer soft foods such as fruits, vegetables, legumes (beans), nuts and seeds. These types of foods are easy to digest and make you feel full faster. Some people even enjoy yogurt or other dairy products.
