Thinking About a Septum Piercing? Here’s What to Expect

What is a Septum Piercing?

A septum piercing is when a small hole (or “pore”) is made into your skin. A small metal or plastic piece called a “septum” pierces through the skin and then goes inside your body. The purpose of the pore being placed in your skin is to allow blood flow to the area where the needle was inserted. This allows for better circulation and healing of wounds.

The pore is usually made from a hollowed out tooth. Some people use their own teeth, but most prefer to buy them at a dentist office. If you have a large enough opening in your mouth, you can even get one with two holes instead of just one! There are many different types of septums available on the market today.

Most are hollow and some have multiple holes. The main thing to remember is that they all need to fit over your natural teeth so there will not be any gaps between the holes.

There are many benefits of having a septum piercing, including:

It helps keep your gums healthy and prevents gum disease. You don’t have to worry about biting down on something sharp while eating food or drinking water since the pore keeps everything safe from getting into your mouth. They also keep your teeth looking whiter than before.

Some people find the process of cleaning their teeth much more enjoyable when they have a septum piercing. It is extremely easy for food to get stuck in between your teeth while you are eating hay day cheats, or even while you are just chewing on a piece of gum. Having a septum piercing helps to get all of that old food out of the tiny gaps between your tooth.

Some people even claim that their teeth grinding has lessened or even stopped altogether since they began wearing a septum piercing. If you grind your teeth at night while you are sleeping, then this might be a good thing for you to try out.

They also offer benefits in terms of relieving pain from other medical issues you may have. If you have problems with your teeth or your gums, then a septum piercing can help to take away some of the pain that you may be experiencing. In some cases dentures can be very uncomfortable to wear due to the fact that they do not fit perfectly and can sometimes cause sores on the roof of your mouth. Having a septum piercing can prevent or significantly decrease the amount of pain you feel.

There are also a number of different ways in which you can take care of your new piercing. If you have any problems or concerns, make sure to consult with your doctor or dentist first before doing anything else. If they give you the green light, there are a few options for you to choose from.

Cleaning it yourself is the first thing most people do since it requires very little effort. All you need to do is get some good ol’ fashioned salt, wet your piercing with some water, and then gently scrub the piercing with the salt. If you are experiencing any pain or bleeding while doing this, stop immediately because something is wrong and you need to consult a professional.

Another thing you can do is go to a professional piercer. They will often have special cleaning solutions which can be used in order to keep the piercing looking and feeling clean. These solutions are usually a lot better at getting rid of any dirt or bacteria that may be causing issues with your piercing as well. You will probably have to ask the professional piercer for help since these solutions can be damaging if used improperly.

You might also need to get an additional cleaning called a ‘retipping’. This is when your piercer changes the inside of the jewelry you are using in order to make sure that it is safe to wear. This is common with edges that have started to become too thin. This process can be painful and may require local anesthesia.

Whatever you do, make sure you don’t try to change the jewelry yourself, especially if you ordered it online. Even piercings done by professionals need to be changed after a while in order to prevent any issues with your health.

In summary, septum piercings are a great idea for anyone with teeth issues or gum problems. They can help to prevent or lessen the pain that you may feel in those areas. If you are experiencing any sort of these issues currently, then it might be a good idea for you to look into getting a septum piercing.

One thing to keep in mind before getting one is whether or not you want to wear a visible piercing or not. This type of piercing is usually done with a small stud, although you can get it done with a ring instead if you wish. Whichever one you decide on will be permanently embedded in your nose, so make sure that you are going to be happy with it for the rest of your life.

If you decide that you want one, then make sure to consult your dentist or doctor first to see if you are going to be good candidate. If they give you the all clear, locate a good professional piercer in your area (perhaps one located in a tattoo parlor) and have them perform the procedure for you. Afterwards, all you need to do is keep the piercing clean by washing it 2-3 times a day using a sea salt solution. Make sure to do this for at least the first month in order to ensure the best results.

And that’s pretty much all there is to it! Good luck on your new piercing and be sure to post some pictures once you’ve had it done!
