Metoidioplasty Surgery Video
The first thing that must be mentioned is that metoidioplasty surgery video is not just for beginners. It requires advanced knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and surgical techniques. You need to have some basic medical training before you can get into the right path.
Metoidioplasty Surgery Video will give you a good understanding of all the basics needed to perform this procedure successfully.
You may think that metoidioplasty surgery video is only for those with money to spend. However, it’s not just for rich people. There are many people who cannot afford such expensive procedures.
If you’re one of them then you’ll definitely want to watch this video so that you can understand what exactly it means when someone says “metoidioplastic.”
There are two types of metoidioplasty surgeries: total and partial. Total metoidioplasty involves removing both the thyroid cartilage and the pituitary gland. Partial metoidioplasty removes only part of these organs.
A complete metoidioplasty includes removal of both the thyroid cartilage and the pituitary gland, but leaves a small portion of each remaining organ intact. The partial form is also called extended Metoidioplasty.
In the case of complete metoidioplasty, you will have a “fully extended” clitoris. This term describes the lengthened appearance of the organ after the procedure. It can be up to 2 to 3 inches (5 to 7.5 centimeters) in length.
Additionally, this surgery can help in terms of achieving stronger and more powerful orgasms as well as increasing your libido. It can:
Make it possible for your body to achieve an erection.
Allow you to have a vaginal depth of up to 2.5 centimeters.
Increase the chances of your body producing testosterone and estrogen.
This is not the case when it comes to partial metoidioplasty, however. While most of the advantages of the total procedure can be achieved with a partial one, there is less chance of your body producing testosterone and estrogen.
Before you can undergo this procedure, it is necessary that you get your blood screened for abnormalities at least six months in advance. This is because some people have unique hormonal makeups that don’t allow for a successful metoidioplasty surgery. Additionally, they will need extra time to prepare for such a complex procedure.
Pre-Op Instructions
Before you can get this procedure, it is necessary that you have a note from your primary physician. This note should state that you are mentally fit and healthy enough to undergo this operation. Also, you will be required to give a detailed list of all the medication, vitamins, herbs, and supplements that you take on a daily basis.
Additionally, you will need to stop taking these drugs four weeks before the operation. This is to prevent an allergic reaction or other complications during surgery.
During this time, you will also need to stop smoking. This is because smoking affects your blood vessels and can cause them to be blocked or even rupture while you are on the operating table. Additionally, drinking any alcohol a few weeks before the procedure can have the same effect.
While it may seem like common sense, some people fail to follow these instructions. Surgeons operate on these people every day, so that is why they are very strict about them.
The Day of the Procedure
Whether you are having a partial or total metoidioplasty, you will have to arrive at the hospital with a friend or family member at least one hour before your scheduled operation. This is necessary so that the doctors can give you a final check-up and determine whether or not you can still go through with it.
This check-up involves a short physical exam as well as the taking of your blood pressure and heart rate. If anything seems out of the ordinary, you may be required to reschedule the operation for another day.
After this is done, a nurse will then take you to a room where you will have to undress and put on a hospital gown. From there, you will wait until it is time for you to go into the operating room. You should have someone accompany you at this point because you will not be allowed to leave the hospital by yourself post-op.
The actual procedure takes between three to five hours, but you will be under for between four and eight. Your genital area will be cleaned and sterilized thoroughly before the surgeon makes the incision. Afterward, she will make a slit from your genitals all the way to your rectum.
Then, the skin at the tip of the slit will be pulled back to create the new vaginal opening. Finally, the lips of your labia will be sewn together to finish it off.
A total metoidioplasty is very similar, but there are a few differences in the surgical process. To make the new vaginal canal, the surgeon will open up the scrotum and remove most of its contents. Then, the skin at the tip is folded over to create the vaginal opening.
The remaining testicle can either be discarded or re-inserted into the top of your labia.
Recovery
When you wake up from surgery, you will be bandaged heavily from your bellybutton down to your knees. Additionally, a catheter will be inserted so the nurse can give you something to help you sleep while you heal.
You will have to remain at the hospital for a few days after the operation. During this time, you will be sleeping and receiving medication through your catheter in order to accelerate the healing process. There is no solid timetable for when you can leave, but it is usually between three and five days, depending on how your body reacts.
Your nurse will remove your catheter when you are released and show you how to look after it properly at home.
You will have to take a number of medications for the first six weeks, but after that you can get rid of them. These include an antibiotic, an anti-inflammatory, and a pill to help your blood clot. Additionally, you are advised not to lift anything heavy at all for at least four weeks.
This includes children and large books.
As for your catheter, you will have to empty it regularly using a small syringe. The nurse will show you how to do this and it is important that you do because your urethra will still be severely damaged. Not emptying your catheter regularly can result in a serious urinary tract infection.
In terms of your daily life, you can expect it to be significantly different. You will no longer have a period and you will actually lack proper genitalia, so you cannot have sexual relations. You will also never be able to give birth.
