The idea behind metabolic diet is very simple. You eat less food than your body needs to maintain its health. That way you lose weight without any side effects such as heart disease, cancer, diabetes etc. However there are many myths surrounding this concept. Here are some of them:
Myth 1: Metabolic Diet Will Make Your Body Fat!
No it won’t make your body fat. If anything, it will help you keep your lean muscle mass and prevent you from getting fat.
Myth 2: Metabolic Diet Will Cause Weight Gain!
It doesn’t cause weight gain, but rather helps you lose weight without any problems. There are no studies showing that metabolic diet causes weight gain either. But if you want to avoid gaining too much weight then this might not be the right option for you.
Myth 3: Metabolic Diet Is Unhealthy!
There are no studies proving that metabolic diet is unhealthy. However, if you have certain medical conditions then this may not be the best choice for you. For example, if you suffer from high blood pressure then this may not be suitable for you. Also, if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding then this might not be good for your baby’s growth and development. So always consult with a doctor before making any decision regarding metabolic diet.
Myth 4: Metabolic Diet Can Kill You!
This is completely untrue. There are no known studies or evidence suggesting that following this diet can kill you. Of course, if you suffer from certain medical conditions then it might not be suitable for you. So always consult with a medical professional before starting this diet.
