The benefits of Kava are numerous. Some of them include:

*Relieves depression

*Improves concentration skills (e.g., reading)

*Helps with pain management (e.g. headaches, backaches)

*Decreases insomnia (e.g. insomnia caused by stress or fatigue)

*Makes it easier to fall asleep (e.g. sleep problems due to chronic illness)

Kava Kava Side Effects: Commonly reported side effects of Kava include:

*Headache – Headaches may occur after drinking too much Kavalactones. If the headache persists, consult your doctor immediately.

*Nausea – If you feel excessively nauseous, you may be allergic to Kava. In such a case, seek medical attention immediately.

Kava Kava overdose can be fatal. To avoid such an event, it is always better to stick with the recommended dosage of the Kava root extract. Overdosing on Kava can cause liver damage.

If you have history of liver disease, then it is best to avoid using Kava altogether.
