The first thing you need to do is wash off the poison ivy from your skin. After washing off the poison ivy, apply apple cider vinegar on your rash. Do not rub it into the rash because this will only cause irritation instead of curing it. Apply apple cider vinegar directly onto the affected area and leave it there for at least ten minutes. Then rinse off the apple cider vinegar with water. Repeat this process three times.
You can also try mixing two parts of apple cider vinegar with one part of warm water and rubbing it on your rash until it heals completely. Or you can mix one part of apple cider vinegar with one part of cold water and rub it on your rash until it heals completely.
When you have finished treating the poison ivy rash, let the skin dry out before going back to work. If you need to use a lotion, make sure to only use it on the patches where there is no rash at all.
Note: Apple cider vinegar can dry out your skin so much that it will cause your skin to get flaky and peel off. If you notice this happening then you need to stop using apple cider vinegar as a treatment for the rash. You can instead use sulfur soap or any other medicated bath additives.
