3) Hold your breath and count to ten.

This will prevent the gas from entering your mouth and giving you the bad taste you usually get when you have gas.

4) For the very brave, stick a finger down your throat to bring on a quick gag reflex and relieve the pain immediately.

The downside is you may feel sick for a few minutes after doing this.
