Home Remedies for Oily Skin

Home Remedies for Oily Skin: What are they?

Oily skin is a common problem among women. It causes dryness and irritation of the skin. If left untreated it leads to breakouts, acne, fine lines and wrinkles. There are many things that can cause oily skin such as sun exposure, excessive use of cosmetics or even just from using too much makeup. Many of these home remedies work well but there are some that don’t work at all.

The most effective home remedy for oily skin is to avoid the sun altogether. Sunscreen is not enough to protect your skin from the harmful rays of the sun. You need something else like a good moisturizer which will keep your skin hydrated and prevent any kind of damage caused by the sun’s rays.

There are several types of home remedies for oily skin. Some of them include:

1) Moisturizing Creams – These products contain ingredients that will make your skin feel smooth and soft.

They usually have SPF (sun protection factor). These creams are best if you want to treat your skin condition without having to apply a lot of product since they’re very light weight.

2) Oatmeal – This has a cleansing and exfoliating effect when you apply it on your face.

All you have to do is prepare some oatmeal by blending it into a fine powder. Then you just add a little water and gently rub it on your skin in a circular motion. The oatmeal will gently exfoliate your skin and keep it hydrated at the same time.

3) Green Tea – This is a very common home remedy for oily skin.

All you have to do is boil green tea and let it cool down a bit so you don’t get burned. Then you apply it directly on your skin with a cotton ball. This will help control the oil that causes pimples and blackheads.

4) Lemon Juice – If you don’t like the idea of using tea tree oil, you can use lemon instead.

It will also help keep the skin healthy and clean. All you have to do is take some fresh squeezed lemon juice and apply it directly on your skin with a cotton ball.

5) Tomato – This ingredient helps in lightening dark spots or blemishes caused by pimples or blackheads.

Cut a tomato in half and rub it on your face gently. Leave it on for a few minutes then wash it off. You should start seeing results after a week or two.

6) Honey – Honey acts as an antibacterial that helps fight breakouts.

All you have to do is take some honey and gently rub it on your skin. Leave it on for about 15 minutes then wash off with warm water.

7) Cinnamon – Cinnamon can be helpful in controlling the oil that causes pimples and blackheads.

It will also give your skin a healthy glow. Take some cinnamon and mix it with a little honey. Gently rub it on your skin and leave it on for about 15 minutes then wash off with warm water.

These are the most common home remedies for oily skin. They’re all great alternatives if you don’t want to go out and buy a lot of expensive products that could end up breaking you out.

Oily skin is a common problem for many people and it isn’t always easy to get rid of. There are many factors that lead to oily skin. Everything from your hormones to stress can cause an outbreak. The good news is you can fight back with home remedies and stop your skin from being so greasy.

The most important thing to remember when dealing with oily skin is “less is more”. You don’t want to scrub or exfoliate too much because this can cause your skin to produce even more oil. Find a good moisturizer for oily skin that will help control the oil production and keep your skin hydrated at the same time.

Another important thing to do is limit the amount of cleansing products you apply on your skin. Try to use only a small amount of cleanser when you wash your face. You should also look for products that are non-comdedogenic. This means they aren’t going to clog your pores and cause more problems.

Oily skin can be frustrating but it isn’t a lost cause. By following these tips and using some home remedies you should see a major improvement in your skin within a few weeks.
