What Does Feces Mean in Spanish?
In English, we use the words vomit and poo interchangeably. However, there are some differences between them. Vomit is a liquid excreted from the body; while poop is solid matter. Poop comes out of the bowels, whereas vomiting occurs through the mouth.
Vomiting is usually accompanied by feeling sick, nausea, and sometimes diarrhea. If not treated immediately, vomiting can lead to dehydration and even death. (1)
Poo is a substance produced in the colon. It contains bacteria which break down food into simple sugars such as glucose and fructose. These sugars are then absorbed into the bloodstream where they provide energy for your cells to function properly. (2)
In general, the average human produces 1 to 3 pounds of feces per day. (3) Left laying around, feces can quickly breed bacteria and even cause diseases. That’s why it’s important to handle it with care when cleaning it up.
The Differences Between Spanish and English
