However, consuming potatoes excessively can increase cholesterol levels and raise the risk of developing type 2 diabetes.
There are several ways to make sure you don’t consume too much potato. One way is to cook potatoes until they become soft but not mushy. Another method is to peel and mash the potatoes so that they aren’t as hard. You can also substitute potatoes with vegetables such as carrots to satisfy your need for starches.
