Can Essential Oils Provide Menopause Relief?
The first thing you need to know is that there are many different types of menopausal symptoms. These include hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, fatigue and irritability. Hot flashes are the most common symptom experienced by women during their postmenopausal years. They may occur at any time during the day or night and last anywhere from 15 minutes up to several hours.
Menopause is the period when menstruation stops completely. During this time, women experience hot flashes and other menopausal symptoms. The reason why these symptoms happen is because your body no longer produces enough estrogen to keep them under control.
Estrogen causes changes in your reproductive system which cause hot flashes. If you have hot flashes without treatment it could lead to infertility problems and even early death.
Hot Flashes Are A Sign Of Infertility And Early Death!
It’s true! Hot flashes are a sign of fertility issues and early death. You might think that if you don’t get pregnant then you’re fine, but that isn’t necessarily the case.
Hot flashes are caused by hormonal imbalances in your body. There are two main reasons why hot flashes happen: 1) Your ovaries stop producing eggs; 2) Your adrenal glands stop releasing hormones which regulate your menstrual cycle.
You can certainly get fertility issues without getting hot flashes, but not always. It is a myth that women who have their ovaries taken out will remain symptom-free. In fact, your ovaries do not produce eggs until your mid-twenties and it is not until your late thirties that they start to slow down.
And let’s face it–no one knows exactly how long our ovaries last. If a woman gets her ovaries taken out at age 35 then it’s highly likely that she will start experiencing menopausal symptoms by the time she’s 50.
The reason why fertility issues and early death are related is because your adrenal glands control the release of female hormones. If you’re running low on estrogen, you’re also running low on cortisol–a stress-fighting hormone. This means that if you’re experiencing a high amount of stress then you may not be able to handle it.
Most women have some sort of stress in their lives and this can lead to health problems. This can also lead to an earlier death…
What Is The Best Essential Oil For Hot Flashes?
There are many different types of essential oils which can be used to alleviate the effects of menopause. One of the most effective is Ylang Ylang. If you’re experiencing a lot of hot flashes then you’ll need to apply the oil topically. This can be done using a carrier oil such as almond or olive oil. Other oils which can be used are Rose, Jasmine and Sandalwood.
There are not very many oils which can be applied directly to your skin without diluting them with a carrier oil. Ylang Ylang is one of those oils. It is very strong and you should only apply one drop directly to your skin at a time.
Two or three drops should be enough to alleviate the effects of menopause.
Ylang Ylang can also be used in a diffuser to help you sleep at night when hot flashes keep you awake. The soothing aroma of this oil will help your mind and body relax, allowing you to get the rest you need to function throughout the day.
What Else Can Help?
Other herbs which can help with hormonal imbalances include Black Cohosh, Dong Quai and Vitex. These can be taken as a tea, in capsule form, or in dietary supplement form. Be sure to consult with your doctor before taking any herbal remedy since you may not be able to take it if you’re already on prescription medications.
Why Did I Wait So Long To Get Help?
You put up with the uncomfortable side effects of menopause for years before finally seeking help. By that time your system was so far out of whack that you were suffering from a multitude of issues. You had frequent headaches, digestive problems, trouble sleeping, mood swings and low energy. Not to mention you had put on weight–a lot of weight. You couldn’t wear the clothes you wanted to wear because they didn’t fit. You couldn’t do the things you wanted to do because you were too tired.
You didn’t even like who you had become and you didn’t know why it was happening. It just seemed so unfair given how young you were. You didn’t understand why your body was failing you when you needed it the most.
You felt betrayed…
But now things are different. Now you have taken control of your life again. You feel better than you have in years.
You’re finally able to do the things you’ve been wanting to do. You have more energy and a better outlook on life.
It’s such a relief not to be fighting with your body every single day. You feel like you’ve gotten your life back and you have a new zest for living. What was lost has been found again and now you’re ready to enjoy the rest of your years.
You have vitality again and you’re enjoying life to the fullest!
How Will You Choose To Spend Your Newfound Vitality?
You’ve already been out and taken up that sport you wanted to try. You’ve also been going out dancing at the local club. Meeting new people and making new friends has really helped boost your self esteem. You even met someone special who you’re now dating–a real gentleman who treats you like a queen. You couldn’t be happier!
